Sukari Salihini-BibiBaseemah Flournoy

Sukari graduated with honors from Murrell Dobbins High School in Philadelphia in January 1964. She was unable to complete her education, but she matriculated at Rutgers University in Newark, New Jersey for more than 2 years.

She worked for the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company as a Customer Service Representative, and later, promoted to a trainer which involved traveling throughout the state training new Customer Service Representatives. Her career with them ended after 10 years when she took a vested pension and moved to California in 1979.

Sukari worked for the City of Los Angeles for 27 years. Her career with the City included the following positions:

Sukari served her country for 6 years in the United States Naval Reserves and was honorably discharged in 1995.

Sukari was very active with Toastmasters International while employed with the Department of Water and Power where she won Toastmaster of the year.

Because of her fondness for children and education, Sukari Flournoy serves as Secretary of the GivingBack Foundation, Inc. Board of Directors.
