Helping Hands: Packaging Up Hope Douglasville, GA- - On April 16, GivingBack Staff, VISTA members, and Volunteer joined forces with the staff of Warehouse of Hope to package up more than 100 boxes of food for families surrounding the low income community. “It was an amazing experience; I stay in this community and did not know something with such an impact was here”, stated Ebony Esquivel. The families in the area can come and shop at the warehouse once a week, after attending an orientation, to buy food, clothing, and toiletries. Warehouse of Hope started in January of 1995 with a mission of “to share the hope and love of Christ with our community and provide resources to people in need.” They are located in Douglasville, GA at 100 Hunter Road. Atlanta, GA - - Saturday, March 14th, GivingBack Foundation volunteered with the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Parade, Inc. for its 127th St. Patrick’s Parade. Although it was cold and rainy outside, it did not stop the spectators from coming out to enjoy the hundreds of participants in the parade. The day was filled with family fun and entertainment. It was a major turn out considering the cancellation of last years parade due to the Atlanta Tornado.
